The Loup Creek occurrence is located on the western slopes of Loup Creek, approximately 1.6 kilometres northwest of its junction with the Gordon River.

The area is underlain by diorite of the West Coast Complex, containing locally black and green serpentined rocks.

Between 2007 and 2010, Le Baron Prospecting completed preliminary programs of prospecting and geochemical surveys on the Loup Creek claims as a part of the Pearson project. In 2007, a grab sample, weighing 0.46 kilogram, of mineralized material containing sulphides (pyrite-covellite) returned values of 6,940 parts per million copper (H031055; Assessment Report 30516).
